Darwin John
Strategic Advisor

As a strategic advisor at Blackwell, Darwin John brings more than 30 years of senior IT leadership experience to the company and plays a key role on Blackwell's senior leadership team. He brings an extensive network of IT contacts enabling Blackwell to expand its reach into new markets and industries. Internally Darwin's leadership, mentoring, strategic planning and development skills provide Blackwell professionals with an invaluable resource from career development to new business efforts.

Darwin also currently serves as a special advisor to the director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). Prior to accepting this position, Darwin served as the FBI's chief information officer, where he achieved broad-based business and enterprise results by leveraging the use of information technology to create value. Darwin was a recognized leader and advocate of teamwork, which resulted in peak levels of performance and achievement for the Bureau.

Darwin held previous roles as information and communications systems managing director for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, vice president of Scott Paper Company, director of information and communication systems development and operations for General Mills and senior systems analyst for Honeywell, Inc., and Thiokol Chemical Corp.

Education and Associations

Darwin received both his MBA and bachelor's degree from Utah State University and participated in the executive programs in finance and mergers and acquisitions at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
